Allow us to introduce Marlies Furby (marlies_furby), who has kindly given us an insight into her fabulous and fun take on fashion. Marlies shares her style tips, plus lets us in on her favourite winter traditions. Describe your relationship with fashion

I have always loved fashion. When I was really young I would ask my mother what everyone was wearing when she went to parties. I grew up in the Netherlands and I would have liked to go into fashion but my parents thought it was a hobby and not a profession, so I never did. But I have always loved it, I’ve even lived in Paris, New York, London & Bermuda! It has always been very important to me, I love to see, and be inspired by, what other women wear!

What are you most excited about over the winter period?

I get so excited about the start of the cosier evenings when you can really hunker down and feel comfortable and warm.

Describe your perfect cosy evening.

I love London in the winter, all the lights, the restaurants, wearing my beautiful jumpers and winter coats. Very glamorous and cozy at the same time.

When does sweater season start for you?

It’s always quite early, probably around the end of August – I just get itchy to pull on my favourite sweaters!

How would you style your Basic V-Neck Sweater for the day versus evening?

In the daytime I am a real jeans girl, so I’d tuck mine into laid-back denim.

And then, for the evening I’d pair it with brightly coloured trousers, I love the way the vibrant shades pop.

What makes you most happy?

Generally, I am very happy!

What will be the next addition to your knitwear collection?

A big, cream, jumper - maybe the Teddy Sweater in Cream!

My wardrobe is never without… Coats, endless coats!!

Trainers or high heels?

Trainers for the day, high heels for the evening

Vacation or Staycation?

Vacation – I love Ski trips!

Coffee!
